Get Me.Page in Report Preview

Hi all. I am trying to determine what page I am looking at while in preview mode. Looking at a two page report, I can get me.page just fine (using the timer event of a hidden form) when the page is one, and when the page is two. But when I move back to page one, me.page continues to say 2. Any idea why?
