I have been using Access for several years, off and on, from Access 97 through to 2010. I only spend a small part of my time programming, so I have fairly limited skills, and always think 'There mus be a better/more efficient way to do this'

I have lurked here for a while, and found a lot of help.

Hello everyone, I'm Giorgos (George) from Thessaloniki, Greece...

Well, I'm not so experienced in Access and I'm trying to develop a database that looks a little hard for me. So I hope I may have some help here...
Hello

Hello

I have used Microsoft Access since the 1990s and still like it, although I'm not keen on the Office Ribbon. I also use MySql where a client is using Linux or cannot afford Microsoft Office software. I have a long background in Informix, going back to pre-SQL days.

I enjoy designing databases from scratch because I get to know my client organisation and its needs better. Access works well for charities and SMEs because a prototype can be quickly built and used to refine the client's requirements.

Much of my work involves networking and upgrades, and on taking up an Access project, I needed a reminder for the name of an Access property - and found the answer in this forum.

Thanking all the contributors in advance!
Frank

Hi all,

I'm a retired army officer and like to keep my brain active so what better way than getting to grips with Access 2013, am also teaching myself C++.

I live in the UK (Wiltshire) and am a member of the Royal British Legion Riders - I can be found riding my Harley around the roads of Wessex most days :)

Hi everyone,

I have used Access in the past, getting back in to programing, self taught reading books and experimenting. the books don't help a lot when getting in to macros and property sheet.

I have found a great deal of information on this forum when searching for Access solutions online, specifically the latest, audit tracking info. I still have a problem or two to work out, so I decided to join.

Just want to say thanks to all those who devote their time and help to all of us who need it.

Hello

Hi All,

This is the first thread I have posted on this site as I have finally reached a point in DB design where I am pulling my hair out (will post question to appropriate forum).

I have used Access on and off for years and since starting a new role in November have been using it to build an Audit Management tool to capture details of all the Audits run by the internal audit team. I have frequently used this site to find answers to tricky questions so thanks for all your help so far :-)

I am based in the UK and tend to use the Macros and Wizards rather than VBA. I have never really learnt VBA but am a SQL developer so querying tables is easy but configuring different forms and controls to work becomes a bit more of a challenge.

Thanks in advance for all your support.

James

Hello everyone.

I have only started using Microsoft Access in the last week, due to a change in job, so it will be a steep learning curve.

Nice to be here.
